The Techpoint MIRA awards were held last Friday night. I was nominated for “Education Contribution to Technology” award. I didn’t make it into the finals but my nomination got me an invite to the black tie dinner and this little star award. With me in this pic (L to R): Mark Bell from StoryGeek, Ryan Hickey producer of Oranje, and Jill Thixton who is my quasi-publicist at Media Sauce and an all-around awesome chick!

Media Sauce (who I work for now), Angel Learning (who I just finished a contract with) and Ball State (where I’m still a PhD student) were also all nominated. Hmm…what’s the common factor? Me! Just kidding. It’s great to see that Indiana isn’t nearly as backward as folks think we are. The Hoosier state is quite techy so watch out east and west coast. The midwest is coming!
